The MANNA MACHINE plant consists of a bioreactor in which algae (Chlorella vulgaris) are cultivated. The resulting biomass is filtered out and Drosophila flies are fed. The flies bred in this way become pixels in the portrait series SOCIAL EMERGENCE.
