The radio play tells a story between science fiction and horror, utopia and dystopia. The narrative leads into the depths of a new materialism in which man, his body and tissue are subjected to radical sustainability. Man becomes a homeostat who feeds exclusively on himself and biotechnologically grows all everyday goods such as textiles, furniture and tools from his own body cells. It is not the amoral or a dark evil that justifies cannibalism, but the principle of action of an auto-ecological use of resources.

The story hallucinates a society of self-consuming individuals who are self-sufficient. In the culture of the ouroboros, in which everyone devours themselves, narcissism shifts from the psyche to the cellular materiality of the body. Ouroboroi are now called individuals, outside of whom nothing exists. They do not need animals or plants for nourishment and follow a self-cult as the most perfect of all modes of existence. Anthropophagy no longer stands for the savage, uncivilized and pre-modern. It becomes the ethical imperative of the human, with the aim of celebrating a paradisiacal, self-contained state.

The radio play was part of the exhibition "Prometheus Delivered", which was shown at HAL Berlin (13.9. to 14.11.2017), at the ERES Foundation Munich (from January 2018) and at Kunstraum Dornbirn (from May 2018). A dramaturgically staged version was performed as part of Future of Demonstration on November 6, 2017 in Vienna.
